Dr. Khanh Tran Vu invited to attend KSCV Workshop

Dr. Khanh Tran Vu – School of Engineering was invited to attend KSCV Workshop #20 from 22-25 February 2013 in Gyeong-Ju, Korea. The workshop was hosted by Prof. Kang-Tae Kim – Manager of Gaia (Geometric and its applications), Postech University. Prof. Kang-Tae Kim is the leader in SCV (Several Complex Variables) field. The topic Dr. Khanh presented about "Lower bound on the Kobayashi metric on domains of infinite type". After the workshop, Dr. Khanh was invited to stay and work with Prof. Kim’s group for two week. Postech (Pohang University of Science and Technology) is a private university based in Pohang, South Korea. Postech is ranked as the leading university in Korea and the 1st university in 100 under 50 Young University Rankings.

In August, Dr. Khanh is also invited to present at the Viet Nam mathematical congress from 10th to 14th in Nha Trang city. Viet Nam mathematical congress is the biggest national conference of Viet Nam mathematical community. It is the chance for math researchers, users and teachers show their scientific research in the recent 5 years. It is also the time for exchanging and discussing about urgent issues to develop math in our country.
