Students with high academic achievement may graduate with Honors. University honors are summa cum laude (highest honors, rarely awarded), magna cum laude (high honors), and cum laude (honors).

Graduation Requirements

Students are responsible for making certain that their plan of study meets all degree and major requirements. To graduate from Tan Tao University, all students must:

  • Be registered at TTU full time for at least four full semesters;
  • Complete the requirements of at least one major degree program;
  • Complete at least 128 semester hours;
  • Complete at least 60 semester hours at Tan Tao University;
  • Complete all TTU courses satisfying degree requirements with a cumulative grade point average of elective courses at least 1.67 or higher;
  • Complete all TTU courses that satisfy major and/or minor requirements (as designated by the department) and all mandatory courses with grade of at least 2.00 or higher;
  • TTU Engineering students must complete at least 36 credit hours offered by others Schools (including TTU core courses);
  • Satisfy the English composition requirement: TOEFL 600 or equivalent;
  • Complete courses of physical education, national defense education, and other courses required by MoET;
  • Complete courses to satisfy the Distribution Requirement;
  • Demonstrate to be a student in good academic and disciplinary standing who is not under investigation.

Knowledge Objectives

EE program at TTU provides both the breadth and depth across the range of electrical engineering field. Our curriculum equips students with fundamental knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, sciences, as well as the ability to solve realistic computer and electrical engineering problems in broad contexts.

As a part of TTU’s liberal arts education, TTU-graduated electrical engineers are equipped with expansive foundations related to realistic social/ethical/environmental constraints, economic factors, teamwork, communication skill, etc. They not only succeed in any engineering practice including the design, implementation, installation, manufacturing, operation and maintenance of electrical/electronic systems and other related disciplines, but also be ready for pursuing higher education in Vietnam or oversea.

More specifically, our educational program commits that our graduates:

Student Outcomes

As a result of our educational objectives, graduates from EE bachelor program of TTU process:

  • An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
  • An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability

Students will be provided with knowledge of modern electrical and computer engineering. Students will be able to deal with the processing, control and transmission of information and energy in many engineering industries such as electronics, power generation, telecoms, defense, oil industries.

Besides working in primary fields of electrical, electronics and computer engineering, graduates with Bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering can also work or pursuit higher education in related fields such as biomedical engineering, computer science, automotive, defense, oil and gas, power generation, aerospace industry, etc. Some of the typical job titles are design engineer, project engineer, engineering specialist, chief engineer, quality control engineer, software engineer, reliability engineer, research engineer, systems design engineer, field engineer, test engineer, sales engineer.
